Treasure Beach is delighted to announce the appointment of Kirk Kirton as Head Chef. Kirton takes the helm at the hotel’s award-winning ‘Al Fresco’ restaurant in time for the winter season and promises a mouth-watering menu for guests and visitors alike.



A culinary star in Barbados, Kirton combines a Mediterranean style with the use of fresh, local ingredients and has already created a range of wonderful recipes to tempt the most refined taste-buds.  Signature dishes include a delicious ‘Half Local Baby Chicken, roasted and served on Sweet Potato Puree with Piperade and Herb Butter’ and a mouth-watering ‘Cream Cheese Bavarian with Local Guava and Cinnamon Cookie’.

Some exciting new things are happening at this West Coast hotel that are transforming  it into a chic and stylish haven.

A complete renovation of nine of the 12 garden suites featuring stylish new bathrooms with contemporary fittings, twin sinks, separate shower and bath; smart new flooring using light ceramic tiles; a distinct Bajan feel with the coral block walls; a relaxed and intimate atmosphere with brand new soft furnishings throughout.  
Treasure beach reopened in November 2006 with it’s new look and features some of the following additions:

VIP Rooms - Two very special one-bedroom suites, each featuring a large whirlpool bath, walk in shower for two and a large terrace with a plunge pool.  These stunning suites, which are spacious and airy, and are located right on the edge of the beach enjoying the most amazing views of the golden sands and turquoise sea  
Dining Under The Stars – The hotel’s split level restaurant now has a retractable awning, and the internal walls  have been removed to create a more open and airy feel to allow candlelit al fresco dining

True Romance - The renowned Hemingway suite has undergone a complete make-over as part of the program.

Room with a view - this exciting expansion work has added a third floor to the north and south wings of the property 

Fantastic New Accommodation -Two additional pool suites and two ocean suites each with an air-conditioned bedroom with ceiling fan, a large stylish bathroom with bath and separate shower and a sitting room leading out onto a private balcony. Each suite features coral stone walls, tiled floors and plasma panel televisions

New updates for the 2009 season are that the al fresco restaurant and bar have been redone.  Also, the seawall, which was damaged by high seas in March 2008, has been rebuilt.
